A downloadable game for Windows

Play as Rose, a psychic who has helped the police in the past, as she starts to encounter strange and disturbing memory sequences in her dreams. In the glimpses of these memories, she can only see the most important details, so often the memories aren't very accurate.  Use this knowledge to find your way through each memory and discover the story at hand.

-How is it HQ Residential House Related?-

Good question. I would say that my game is related to the HQ Residential House because it deals with a suburban looking house in each of the protagonist's dreams. I hope this captures the element of the house enough.

Great game. Loved the crisp graphics and the pacing of the story. I found the scares to be effective. I knew I saw something on the back of that house. Enjoyed the experience, thanks for creating :)

Thank you for playing! I always love to see people play the games I make, so it's people like you who make me want to keep creating!

I really enjoyed the concept of the game as it reminded me Insidious for some reason lol. Please feel free to check out my gameplay. Have a great day! :)

Thank you for playing and making a video about my game! I really appreciate it!

An interesting game. Love the design and the atmosphere.

Thank you! I’m glad you liked the game!

Nice game! The concept was interesting and it was executed pretty well. Big props to the sensitivity and brightness settings. Always great to see. The dialogue was pretty slow, though. And seeing an objective/goal text in the corner is also something I always like to see in indie games.

Outdoor sounds were a nice touch, could have used a little more ambience and suspenseful sound effects/music, though.

Some nice scares, but it could have been more threatening/scary.

Overall, pretty good stuff, dev! Looking forward to more projects.

Please check out the video (Game starts at 1:55) and my channel: VladMan.

Thank you!

Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback!

This was very interesting. The concept was likable, and I feel like the idea alone could manifest an amazing game. However, the slow dialogue kind of took me out of the experience. Not bad overall.

Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

GAMEPLAY WALKTHROUGH

Thanks for playing!

I think I had a glitch with this game, im not sure the door

doesnt open when it should. or maybe im doing something wrong. im not sure but i hope its a glitch because i literally did everything i could

Thanks for playing. It sounded like you were using your mouse to try and open the door. 'E' is the key to interact with doors and objects. That may have been your issue.

I replayed it, and yeah that was the issue, I finished the game now completely lol, was nice

Thanks! I’m glad that we figured out the issue.

Was an interesting and fun game! The research you've done on serial killers shows as there are patterns they follow that have been recorded and using that to make it into a supernatural game was really cool

The scares and everything were done, and the only suggestions I can give you is to take wherever was in the Case Files and put that at the beginning of the game. Maybe make the player play through the life of the Detective first and then build up to the murderer and the house, and maybe talk about the killer a little before showing the house itself. Building things up and giving hints and making things connect at the beginning and end of the game makes the story very compelling and feels satisfactory to the player.

Though you did have the Case Files, so kudos to that as it shows that you did think about the story and everything.

But yeah, great little game! Good luck on any future projects you might have!

Thank you so much! I appreciate all the suggestions! (:

Interesting game. I love it. too bad that it is short. I hope to see more from you in the future :)

btw if you are interested, here is video of your game:

(game starts at 4:57) hey familia my names is isak and i recently played your game. the concept of the game is interesting, we have the ability to slip into the dream world and we are able to see and find murderers. i like that there was lore, but it somehow felt disconnected, like some parts were missing of the story. itd be pretty cool to tell us how the protag got her abilities and stuff like how she came to be. this was a fun little experience i really enjoyed it. keep up the amazing work!

Thank you!

A really cool game!!! I would honestly love to see a sequel of some sort for this game!!!

Thank you for playing! It would be pretty cool if there was a sequel. I’m not sure if I’ll make one yet though.

This was a pretty enjoyable experience! It seems like you have an idea for a pretty solid story here with the lore surrounding the characters. I feel like this idea could be expanded on a bit further, and I'd love to know more about the mysterious ability this woman has! I gave some suggestions at the end of the video. Overall, I enjoyed this! Great work!

Has potential for sure...I added a few sounds and music to the video to give it a little more atmosphere and I look forward to see where the game goes!:)

Thank you so much!

It's definitely a dream...

Thanks for playing!

Fun short horror game! I talk about it more at the end!

Thanks!

NP!!

dewds

hi dudes

Hi (:

This is a very good game. Its interesting to see what the plot is about. But im sad that the house dont have any furniture :( But beside that, the game is great!

Thank you! By the way, there is no furniture or anything because the story for the game is that Rose only sees the most important details in each of her dreams she has. In this case, the dreams are all about what the murderer has done in this house. I hope that explains why I didn’t furnish the house. Plus, I’m not very good at decorating. :P

Lmao ok i get it now...but still sad no furniture :(

This was fun, the only thing i could say is to add some sort of environment in the house rather than just blank rooms.

Thanks for playing! The reason the rooms were blank was because Rose can only see the most important details of someone’s memory while she sleeps. I kept them blank to follow the story.

That was awesome! Such a great story and the vibes! One of the jumpscares gave me a heart attack :D Here's my little playthrough (Polish language) Cheers!

Thank you for playing! I'm glad you liked it!

Very fun game. Cool story.

Thank you!

I liked the use of the house for the story you made, very nice!

Thank you!

So the game is called Dream or HQRESIDENTIAL... ?

(1 edit) (+1)

Dream, but the game was made for the HQ Residential House Game Jam. That's why the file's name is that.
